Gleason & Associates was started in Sept. 1996 by Joel S. Gleason AAI.
At the time Joel had worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. He started his own brokerage firm with the focus
on the client and the understanding that it is the brokers responsibility to help
the client better protect what they value.

Born and raised in the D.C. area and having spent the last 36 years
as an independent agent, Joel has learned that insurance takes more than just
selling. It requires really getting to know the client, there needs and there business
which, as Joel says, is the best part. 16 years ago Joel started Gleason & Associates with the
intent on doing just that. Since then we have acquired subsidiaries, grown to nearly triple our original size and
now have licenses and contracts with 10 separate insurance companies.

Bethesda Chevy Chase Insurance Center was founded in 1980 by Michael J. Gleason.
The assets of this well-established agency was later purchased by Gleason & Associates in 2006. The distinguished
clientele had been serviced for many years by agents of both companies making the transition an easy one.
BCC Inc. continues to thrive and its clients remain under the umbrella of Gleason & Associates.
